18. In one year Liana has grown so much.  She has learned to sit up, roll over, crawl, climb and stand on her Own. She also babbled, learned to laugh, and say a few words. She can pick things up, turn pages and point at things. Liana went from sleeping 1 hour to some times 7 hours more or less. And now Liana has how many teeth?

Me and Erlene (my charge nurse).  Our due dates are less than a month of each other.  It is a blast to be pregnant together.

 My Nursing Aid even wore a blue wig which she hates, but we all convinced her to wear the wig and paint her face.  She is so fun.

This was Halloween morning at the hospital.  Night shift can be so much fun.

Not only did I get to spend Halloween in the hospital but I got to also come home and hand out candy with Darren.  I have not done that for a while.  Darren also put on Buffy the Vampire.  Funny thing is I never knew there was a movie.  I thought that there was only a show.

After all these years Darren is done. All the hard work payed off.  It is awesome!

Happy Easter

I know this is early but Easter is one of my favorite Holidays and I could not wait to wish everyone a happy Easter. There are so many reasons why I love Easter...

#1 reason why is because of our Saviors resurrection which give us life and lets us also be resurrected. I can't wait till I get to see my older brother John again, and this whole season brings hope and joy for me.

#2 reasons I love Easter is because of the awesome candy hunt we have in our family. I love waking up to candy spread around our house. Who couldn't love that... well I guess a diabetic wouldn't, but oh well. I am not a diabetic yet.

#3 is I love the big feasts and parties. I love all the little treats you can make too. There are so many yummy things to eat.

#4 is the egg dying. You can be as creative as you want with dying eggs. You also can use eggs in so many ways. You can drain the shell and use the egg in stuff like baked goods or you can hide the eggs and then use the hard boiled eggs in potato salad or deviled eggs.

#5 reason why I love Easter is that it usually means it is going to be pretty warm from here on out till next winter. The whole world is beautiful, and the sun is perfect. I am so excited that Easter is in 1 week.

The things I hate about Easter is having to miss it.

I might have to work the night before, which would really stink. Then I would be tired all day and miss out on everything. I want to go to Blake's wedding or Darren's family’s house for Easter and be with Liana for her first Easter. I am scheduled for that day, but who knows I might can get it off and how cool would that be. I love my job but I love my family a lot more.

We also made snacks.  Pita bread with marshmallow fluff & peanut butter, Jelly & Pretzels

Little bunny Cupcakes.  We made cookie ears and the on the back we glued cotton ball tails to the cupcake foil

We took eggs & emptied them & made food with the eggs.  Then we soaked the egg shells in bleach water and cleaned them real good.  Then we died them and filled them with candy and glued the little cupcake papers on the back to hold the candy.  It was real fun.  I love Easter so much!  One of the best Holidays ever.

this week we also made rice crispies filled with M&Ms.  To shape the rice crispie treats in the shape of eggs we cleaned the plastic eggs and then molded them into egg shapes and then put the m&ms in and closed the two 1/2 together.  It turned out way cute.  The funny thing is the kids didn't tell anyone there was M&M's in the middle because they wanted to trick their family.  However when people bit into them the M&Ms all fell out onto the floor.  The family was more sad that the M&M's fell than they were suprised  

Here is another plate we gave away.  I remember giving goodies away as a kid and it always excited me.  Funny thing is it still is exciting to me to drop off a plate of something and run.

Gardian Helicopter flew in and the crew let everyone take turns and sit inside.  Liana was very excited for her turn.  When they left they did a circle and then flew over us fast.

This is the fire engine that came to the party.  It was way cool.  They gave us hats and stickers and let everyone climb in the truck and try on the clothes.  They also let the kids spray the fire truck hose.  Liana was too little to spray the hose but she liked looking at the water.

I hope everyone enjoys and makes the best of Easter this year.  It does not matter how old or young you are you can still enjoy it. Remember it is a good Idea to find Easter eggs and Easter candy on Easter, but it is a bad idea to find Easter eggs and Easter candy on Christmas.  (Allmost every year we found some late and it really is not a good)

LIana is Two months!

Time Flies. Darren is over half way done with his internship and Liana is now 2 months. When we go back home she won’t even know it is her home. I am so happy we are staying with family. For Liana's baby blessing we were able to have a lot of family come. If we were in Flagstaff we probably would not have had so many people make it. Thank you for all those who came and helped. This is the most fun time of my life. I would not trade it for anything.


It is so funny, I have had all bodily fluids on me from older people in the hospital, but Liana's I don't mind as much and I actually am so happy every time she is able to have a bowel movement I never was as concerned about immunizations and Dr. appointments. I was able to sleep for more than 8 hours at a time before I got pregnant and had her. My thoughts and conversations were not always centered on one person (Liana). I never felt so many emotions at once, like the worst pain ever from feeding her and her not getting anything and not being able to go to the bathroom forever. Being so sad when she cries and my heart breaks into a million pieces when I couldn't stop her crying. Then I also feel so gloriously happy over the simple little things like her smile, coo and giggle, when she sleeps more than 2 hours at night, and that she is our little girl. I love just watching her sleep, kick, and splash in her bath. I never knew this little girl would change my life so much. I love Liana so much and am so happy we had her.
