General Conference

This week we went to Utah for General Conference
Thanks to Kathy's Mother and Father-in-law we were able to get tickets.

We also would like to thank Ben and Becca for letting us stay at their house.
Justin was the king of the games.  It did not matter if it was breakfast, lunch or dinner he had a game for us to play.  It was so much fun and he "TOTALLY KICKED MY TRASH"

Skype is the coolest thing ever.  Ben and Becca's family got to talk to my other sister's family online, who is in a different state.  Both families had talent shows for each other.  Technology is so cool!

Thanks Ben you're a great older brother

We had a blast.  Can't wait to visit again.

Becky Came again

Lots of family has come to our apartments, but out of all of them Becky has come the most. This last week she brought her friends to camp and stay in Flagstaff with us. We had so much fun. We got to use our tent that Darren's parent's gave us. It was so nice.

We went up to the top of the snow bowel. It started to snow when we were getting down the hill

Last Becky cut my hair for Locks of Love. I wanted to donate it. I was going to have Demi cut it but I have not been in Thatcher for a while and I don't know when the next time I would see her so Becky offered to do my hair. I promise I will grow my hair out again and cut it for Locks of Love. It is fun to have a drastic change and also be able to help some on out at the same time.

Early in the morning she cut off over 10 inches. This is the back.

This is the front.  It is cute and way fun and easy to do. I love it. Thanks Becky.

Summer 2009

I'm back and posting. This summer has been so much fun. I got a new job at a hospital in Winslow. Darren had a internship for physical Therapy and class. In between all that we had some fun of our own. John came and visited. He is in Iraq right now but he got to come to AZ for 2 weeks.
He came to support Darren at the Battle of the bone. Darren entered a wing eating contest. He did not win the motar cycle, but he got a shirt and a verry full stomach. The guy who won ate 3.5 lb of meat off the bones in 11 minutes! Last year the most any one ate was 3 lb. He had tough competition this year.
Look at Darren go. It was exciting to watch, but kind of grose.
All summer long I worked on this quilt. It is mine and Darren's jeans that were ruined. I went to Darren's family's house where I got a smoking deal on the flannel fabric on the back. They accidently put $1.00 per yard when they ment to put $10.00 per yard. I got it for $11 instead of $110. Best deal ever. Darren's mom taught me how to tie a quilt. I have never tied a quilt. Darren also helped. I am proud of it.
Darren went to a camp called the Painted Turtle in california. He was a cabin counselor. Darren's physical therapy school helped him find out about it. Next year I want to volinter with him. It is a great camp.
We also got to go to some of the Cardinals pre season scrimages. The players took pic. with the fans and gave autographs. Number 89 was our fav. He gave his shoes every time to fans and took pic. with everybody every practice.
We went and visited my Grandma and Grandpa Larson and then went to slide rock & Oak creek. We have been traviling all over Arizona since we got married. Arizona is so amazing!
McKay got married! Congrats. We got to go. Jerica looked gorgeus and their baby boy was so good.
Brothers.
We went to indian ruins at Walnut Canyon this year.

Fabulous Family Vacation in Las Vegas Nevada

We went on a vacation to Las Vegas with Darren's family this week. It was one of the most fun vacations ever! First we stayed in a barn, which let me sum every thing up in 1 word... closed! The pool, the rides, the tram were all so cool but they were closed until Friday which is every day we were there, which they did not tell us. So the next day we moved up to the castle.
The excaliber was kid friendly. They had kid arcades which were as fun as the grown up stairs.
Me and Darren sported our hot sun glasses
Brinley, Demi, and I (We did not buy them together, but look our sweet glasses match!)Our niece wanted to be part of the fun.

Darren's parrents took us to the Lion King for our Birthday. I had allready seen it, but it still was amazing and I loved it. It amazes me how the people move just like animals. I would recomend it to every one. We went to the Shark museum. They have a pool were every one can touch the sting ray! Way Cool. You can't see the shark we are looking at but they're there.

I’m an official RN

I took my RN test and passed. I can’t believe I did it. I would be so ungrateful if I did not thank all those who have helped me get this far. First I was so blessed by my Lord to get this far. He really does answer prayers. I would also like to thank my wonderful husband, and family.
I also had a great Capstone preceptor who taught me alot.
I had a great Director of Nursing who got me into CCC. One of the best schools ever!
Mrs. McMillan was an amazing teacher who taught me a lot of important things. She also taught me how to really care for patients.
I can't forget EAC. Even though I left it I will always have a special place in my heart. The teachers and classmates there are great. I Love them. Thanks Carolyn, Mary Anne and Kim.
Love ya girls. I know you guys will be great Nurses too. Good Luck with your NCLEX & Keep up the good work.

I graduated. I got pinned as a nurse.

Nurse pinning is a little different then military pinning. They don‘t hit the pin into your shoulder, instead it is on a pretty ribbon around our neck. It is crazy it is all done and now I can work.
Kim helped me study. I think we learned more together than we learned in class. We had fun studying together.
Here is my class with the Nightingale Lamps at our pining ceremony
Darren has been the best support ever. It has been hard but he has been there with me every step of the way.
Darren's mom drove all the way to Flagstaff just for me. What an amazing Mom. Thanks, it ment alot.
My Family also came into town. They drove 5 hours up to see my graduation and then drove back. Family is awesome.

Kempton Update

A lot has happened at the Kempton house and it has been fun to be there.
Emma is one years old this year. She can walk every where now. She is so happy and cute.
Demi and Brenley won regionals and got second in state tennis. Way to go Deminator!
McKay graduated the EMT class this semester
Davis got to call home and talk to every one. He has been out for over 6 months. Not only did Davis get to call home but my cusin on the Larson side (Blake) got to call home for Mothers Day. It is one of the best day of the year when you have a missionary in the family.
We all dressed up in black for my Father-N-Laws Birthday. He is over the hill now. It is funny because both my parents are over 50. I used to think that missionaries were so old and now they are all younger than me. Funny how old changes by definition and you get older.
Demi is now done with High School! Great Job.

I am an Aunt again. McKay is a father and has the cute little boy. He says the baby hasn't been sleeping that well at night. I guess it is true when people say, "People who say they sleep like a baby usually don't have one." Good luck McKay you will be a great dad.

Viva La Mexico

Swine flu and murders keep people from going to Mexico these days, but we got to go and help there. We did not get hurt or sick. Every year we get to go and serve with a group from Phoenix there. People in the little town of Caborca are so sweet.
My parents have gone almost every year I have been alive. This year we stayed with an 82 year old lady. She didn’t even speak English, but she welcomed us with love. She is a real hard worker and had the prettiest yard in the town. This year we painted the red cross building.
Darren, Kathy, and I were in charge of the front of the building. We were in charge of painting the E with a do not sign on top of it. We thought the E stood for Emergency. Isn’t it silly to have no emergencies in front of the red cross. However we found out that the E really stood for parking in Spanish which starts with an E also.
The red cross workers are all volunteers. What a cool group of people serving their people every day.
Darren is the craziest guy ever, but I love him. He climbed up the tower to paint it. He didn’t even have a rope to hold him up there. Scary!!

I am so happy we get to go down to Mexico and serve together.
